Who am I?

Why am I doing this?

I've want to be a writer. I guess that's first and foremost. Before I wanted to write for me, but now I want to write to show my daughter that she can do anything she truly wants to do. It won't necessarily be easy, but if you're passionate about it, then it'll be worth it.

I'm into a lot of things, kinda of a jack of all trades, master of none sort of thing (you can read more in the Me section if you're interested). I have a few poems published, and I'm working on getting a little more in the line of short stories, but the goal is to be a novelist.

Me

I like to think I'm a bit of a Renaissance Man. Well, that's what I want to be at least. So far in life I've bought and remodeled two houses (electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring, tile work, kitchens, baths, deck building, etc.), raised and trained an amazing Aussie (that I sadly had to put down just before the winter of 2014), earned a doctoral degree (EdD in curriculum design & instruction), met and married a beautiful and supporting woman (found her on OkCupid.com), became a father (a very easy thing to do), learned what it means to be a dad (much harder actually), published several poems (Tasting Iron & MetamorphosisWestbound, and others that are not currently available online), written and implemented four new curricula at the school where I work, redesigned a portion of the professional development model we use, writing this blog and Crashing the Table, and beginning to develop board games.
